Members of the Post Lab and collaborators at Florida International University and in Colombia have published a paper on the Potential ecological and socio-economic effects of the introduction of hippos in Colombia. Hippos were introduced to Colombia by Pablo Escabar in the 1980s. The story is facinating and troubling.
