New publication: alewife drive novel niche shift in chain pickerel

16 September 2015

Jakob Brodersen and coauthors from the Post Lab have published a new paper on the role of alewife in causing a novel niche shift in chain pickerel in lakes in New England. The paper published on 14 September 2015 in Nature Communications shows that chain pickerel have undergone a shift in habitat use, diet, and morphology in lakes that contain landlocked alewife populations.

For more information see the Yale Press release or the full paper at Nature Communications.
